Since 1969, ADC BioScientific Ltd. has been designing, building and supplying infrared gas analyzers for measuring CO2 gas exchange.

Famous, single-channel infrared gas analysis (IRGA) technologies have been incorporated into devices used to measure carbon cycle through plant, soil and atmospheric gas exchange studies. Many “firsts için for the global plant physiology market came from Research and Development at ADC. They developed the first battery-portable photosynthesis system that allows experiments to move from greenhouse to field in natural trials. We have also developed the first photosynthesis system with microclimate control, which allows researchers to explore the photosynthesis process in more depth. We continue to lead the market with innovative, research-based analyzers for plant, soil and atmospheric research. They are very careful about transforming carbon cycle research with portable, accurate and adaptable devices.

Whether your research is in the laboratory, in the greenhouse or in the field, we can offer you superior ground gas flow measurement capability, whether rapid measurements or remote measurements.

SRS 1000 T Portable Soil Respiratory System

The SRS1000 T is ultra compact and portable. Extremely easy to use, affordable research tool. Despite its weight of only 2kg, it provides accurate ground flux measurements and 10 hours of battery life. The new, large, color touch screen makes the SRS1000 T easier and faster to use.
The integrated GPS allows the location of each field measurement to be known. Longitude, latitude and altitude coordinates are stored together with the gas exchange data.
The highly accurate miniature CO 2 infrared gas analyzer is located directly adjacent to the ground compartment, providing the shortest possible response to gas exchange in the soil. The chamber is carefully designed to minimize boundary layer effects and to reduce pressure differentials that can suppress CO

EGA60 Multi-Sample Soil Respiratory System

The EGA60 is a multi-channel soil respiration measuring system. A single EGA60 system can measure up to 24 soil samples.

The operator can program the system to measure each channel for a desired period of time before the multiplexer proceeds to the next sample.
Just before switching, the CO2 concentration is measured by the infrared gas analyzer with flow rate and output of other sensors connected to the 7 analog inputs.

All of the measurements obtained are stored on the SD memory card in the plug-in. When the experiment is complete, the SD card can be removed and inserted into a card reader or SD card slot on a notebook. A high-speed USB port is available for data transfer directly from the system.

ACE Automatic Soil CO2 Exchange System

Launched in 2006, the ACE system (Automatic Soil CO2Exchange System) is designed for long-term and unattended monitoring of soil gas exchange. The automated design means that during analysis cycles the soil may be exposed to environmental conditions before the chamber closes for measurement. This means that ACE will continue to collect data without any human intervention as long as the battery life allows. This makes ACE an ideal research tool for the ongoing assessment of underground respiration and carbon depots according to the quantitative nature of the carbon cycle in ongoing experiments.

The unique, uniaxial opening mechanism, mounted at a vertically carefully designed angle, ensures reliability, minimizes component costs and reduces weight. The ACE has a high-precision CO2 infrared gas analyzer, which is located directly into the soil chamber, without the long gas tube connecting the soil chamber and a separate analyzer. This ensures accurate and robust measurements and the fastest possible response times to the mind during gas exchange. The experimental setup is much simpler and the system is much more robust.

SRS2000 T Portable Soil Respiratory System

Inside the room, both CO2 and H2O can be controlled automatically. They can be controlled at single concentrations or automatically at consecutive levels. This allows soil flux to be determined at different CO2 concentrations, while the ability to dry air in the room prevents condensation from occurring when working with soils with high moisture content.

The standard 0-3000ppm CO2 range is suitable for working with soils with extremely high CO2 flux levels.

The SRS2000 T is designed so that unwanted effects do not affect data. Pressure variations in some room designs can artificially suppress or increase the CO2 flux from the soil. The addition of a new pressure relief valve ensures that there is no pressure difference between the room head space and the outdoor atmosphere. The tool is also insensitive to wind. When the air flows from the reservoir at varying speeds and in different directions, the measured data are unchanged.

The analyzer is located inside the CO2 plant and provides the fastest measurement of gas changes from soil.

Floor Breathing Chamber for LC i and LC pro

ADC has developed a new high quality soil breathing chamber for use with LCi and LCpro portable photosynthesis systems. The compartment consists of a stainless steel collar and a detachable upper compartment that is directly connected to the partition arm of an LCi or LCpro system. The CO2 flow is measured by a highly sensitive, miniature CO2 IRGA directly adjacent to the soil chamber in the handle of the LCi and LCpro systems. The collar is placed in the soil before measurements are made to ensure the best positioning of the room, regardless of the condition or type of soil. A collar insertion means is provided to assist in this insertion.

GFP III General Fluorescent Probe

GFPIII is a general purpose, modulated, fiber optic fluorometer that can be used with a range of filter sets that are tailored to suit your fluorescence needs.

Popular choices are Green fluorescent protein, Rhodamine, Chlorophyll and Fluoroscein filters.

The supplied flexible fiber optic probe allows GFP to be used with solid, liquid or gaseous samples.

The GFP meter is a compact, lightweight (275 g), battery-powered and ideal portable measuring system with weather-resistant membrane keypad.

The integrated data logger, together with the measuring time and a calibration status seal, allows the recording of values above 2 Gb. These readings can be divided into different file locations for easy identification.

For monitoring applications, automatic recording is possible at speeds of 1 to 1 per second.

GFPIII will detect Fluorescence up to at least 10 ppb in pure water and less than 30 ppb in pure water Rhodamine.

For simple data transfer, the GFP comes with a USB port and a computer cable.
